Persia Money provides payment facilitation, settlement support, value conversion, local payment and informal value transfer services to eligible Users.

The Services may include:

Persia Money is not a bank, foreign exchange dealer, financial institution, travel agency, seller of goods, hotel provider, airline, local platform, immigration adviser or provider of any underlying goods or services. Persia Money’s role is limited to payment facilitation, settlement support, value conversion or processing of payments in accordance with the User’s submitted Order.

4. Nature of Informal Value Transfer Arrangements

Certain Persia Money Services may be provided through an IVTS or informal value transfer arrangement. In such cases, value may be received from the User in one country or jurisdiction and an equivalent value may be paid, settled or made available in another country or jurisdiction through accounts, channels or settlement methods approved by Persia Money.

Persia Money provides such Services only for personal, lawful, documented and verifiable purposes, including family support, personal payments, student support, payment of permitted expenses, settlement of rental income, documented personal income or other lawful and verifiable sources accepted by Persia Money.

The User must not use Persia Money’s Services to conceal the origin, ownership, destination, beneficiary or purpose of funds; process funds belonging to undisclosed third parties; carry out unauthorised commercial activity; facilitate imports or exports; make corporate payments without approval; or carry out any unlawful, undocumented, misleading or prohibited transaction.

5. Placing an Order

All Orders must be submitted and managed through Persia Money’s official website or mobile application. Persia Money shall have no responsibility for Orders not submitted through official channels.

The User must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when placing an Order. This may include the type of Service, amount, source currency, local settlement amount, Recipient details, account number or local IBAN, card number, national identity number, relationship with the Recipient, reason for payment, payment link, merchant name, booking details, student information, invoice, receipt or any other information required to process the Order.

The User is responsible for ensuring that all information submitted in connection with an Order is accurate, complete and suitable for the intended purpose. Persia Money shall not be liable for any loss, delay, misdirected payment, rejected payment, cancelled booking, lost opportunity or other consequence arising from incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate or late information provided by the User.

6. Receipt of Funds from the User

Persia Money may receive payment for Orders in currencies accepted by Persia Money, including pounds sterling, euros and, in certain cases, US dollars. Payment methods may include transfer to an account specified by Persia Money, cash payment where approved by Persia Money, or any other method confirmed by Persia Money at the time of the Order.

Persia Money does not currently offer foreign card payment as a general method of receiving funds from Users, unless officially made available by Persia Money in the future.

No Service will be processed unless and until Persia Money has received and confirmed the full amount payable, the User has completed the required identity verification, any required checks have been completed, and the Order has been approved by Persia Money.

7. Exchange Rate, Local Settlement Amount and Payment Deadline

The exchange rate, the amount payable by the User and the local settlement amount will be displayed or notified to the User at the time the Order is submitted through the Persia Money website or mobile application. The quoted rate applies only to that specific Order and remains valid for 12 hours from the time the Order is submitted.

The User must pay the full Order amount within 12 hours of submitting the Order using a method approved by Persia Money. If the User’s payment is not completed and confirmed by Persia Money within this period, the Order may be cancelled automatically or at Persia Money’s discretion.

Where an Order is cancelled because the 12-hour period has expired, Persia Money shall have no obligation to preserve the exchange rate, the local settlement amount, any booking, any payment request or any Service based on the expired Order.

If the User makes payment after the 12-hour period has expired, Persia Money may, at its discretion, return the amount paid to the User or, with the User’s agreement, apply it to a new Order calculated using the rate and conditions applicable at that time.

8. Timing of Local Payments

Once Persia Money has received and confirmed the full amount payable, the User has completed identity verification and the necessary checks have been completed, Persia Money will use reasonable endeavours to process the Local Payment on the same day.

However, processing may be delayed until the next business day or the earliest reasonably available time due to public holidays, banking hours, local bank transfer limitations, local payment network restrictions, low-value card-transfer restrictions, online payment network issues, transaction limits, additional checks, transaction risk, incomplete information or matters outside Persia Money’s reasonable control.

Persia Money does not guarantee the exact time at which any payment, settlement, booking or third-party service will be completed.

9. Local Payment Methods

Local Payments may, depending on the type of Order, amount, payment destination, payment network availability and Persia Money’s assessment, be made by local bank transfer, local IBAN or account transfer, low-value card-to-card transfer, or local online card payment through authorised local payment networks.

Persia Money determines the payment method to be used. Persia Money may change the payment method, pause the payment, suspend the Order or refuse to process the payment where there are payment network limitations, transaction limits, transaction risk, incomplete information, inconsistent information, merchant error, banking restrictions or any other reasonable ground.

10. Recipient and Payment Destination Information

For payments to the destination jurisdiction, the User must provide accurate and complete details of the Recipient, Beneficiary, merchant or payment destination as requested by Persia Money.

Persia Money may require the User to provide the Recipient’s full legal name, local IBAN or account number, card number, national identity number, the User’s relationship with the Recipient, the reason or purpose of the payment, and any additional information or documents relating to the payment destination.

The User is responsible for ensuring that all Recipient and payment destination information is accurate, complete and up to date. Persia Money shall not be liable for any delay, failed payment, misdirected payment, returned payment, blocked funds, rejected transaction, loss or other consequence arising from incorrect, incomplete or outdated information provided by the User.

Persia Money may request further documents, explanations or evidence regarding the Recipient, the User’s relationship with the Recipient, the purpose of payment, the Source of Funds, the Source of Wealth, the payment destination or the nature of the transaction. Until such information or documents are provided and approved, the Order may be paused, suspended, rejected or cancelled.

11. User Selection of Goods, Services, Websites, Hotels, Flights or Platforms

The User is responsible for selecting the website, platform, seller, hotel, airline, flight, travel date, passenger details, goods, service, amount, Recipient and all other details of the Order.

Persia Money may provide suggestions to reduce cost, improve the likelihood of successful payment, improve service quality or offer an alternative route. However, the final decision regarding the goods, services, hotel, airline, date, merchant, Recipient or payment destination remains the responsibility of the User.

Any suggestion, guidance or alternative option provided by Persia Money does not constitute a guarantee of quality, price, outcome, legal advice, financial advice, travel advice, booking confirmation, delivery of goods or assumption of responsibility for the relevant goods, services, platform or third party.

12. Identity Verification and Required Checks

All Users outside the destination jurisdiction must complete full identity verification before any Order, transaction, payment or Service is processed.

Persia Money may require the User to provide personal information, residential address, contact details and a valid identity document. Acceptable identity documents may include a valid passport, residence permit, EU national identity card, or valid driving licence issued in the United Kingdom, Ireland or a European jurisdiction.

The User may be required to complete a facial liveness detection process so that Persia Money can verify that the User is a real person and, where necessary, compare the User’s live facial image with the image contained in the identity document provided.

Persia Money may also carry out sanctions screening, restricted-list screening, identity checks, risk checks, PEP checks, adverse media checks or other compliance and security controls on the User, Recipient, Beneficiary, payment destination and any person connected with the Order.

Persia Money may request further information or documents at any stage, including after an Order has been submitted or funds have been received. Until all checks have been completed and the documents approved, the Order may be paused, suspended, rejected or cancelled.

Failure to complete identity verification, failure to pass liveness detection, failure to provide requested documents, provision of false, incomplete, expired, misleading, altered or unverifiable information, or any sanctions, fraud, compliance, risk or security concern may result in rejection, suspension or cancellation of the Order, refusal to provide the Service, restriction of the User account or termination of the relationship with the User.

13. Source of Funds and Source of Wealth

Persia Money may, before processing any Order, during review of an Order, after receipt of funds or at any other stage it considers necessary, request information and documents relating to the User’s Source of Funds, Source of Wealth, purpose of payment, ultimate Beneficiary, Recipient, relationship with the Recipient and nature of the transaction.

Documents requested may include bank statements, payslips, employment documents, tenancy agreements, property ownership documents, rental receipts, sale agreements, invoices, university documents, student accommodation invoices, family support evidence, tax documents, freelance or employment income evidence, or any other documents that Persia Money considers necessary to verify the Source of Funds, Source of Wealth, purpose of payment or legitimacy of the transaction.

Persia Money provides Services only in respect of personal, lawful, documented and verifiable funds. Persia Money may refuse to process any Order where the Source of Funds or Source of Wealth is unclear, unverifiable, inconsistent with the User’s profile, belongs to undisclosed third parties, is high-risk, suspicious or otherwise unacceptable to Persia Money.

14. Sanctions, Risk and Compliance with Applicable Laws

Persia Money may manually or automatically check information relating to the User, Recipient, Beneficiary, payment destination, merchant, destination account, destination country or jurisdiction and any person connected with the Order.

These checks may include sanctions screening, restricted-list screening, screening of high-risk persons or entities, payment destination checks, inconsistency checks, and checks relating to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, misuse of the Services or breach of applicable laws and restrictions.

If Persia Money determines that an Order presents legal, sanctions, banking, security, fraud, money laundering, Source of Funds, Source of Wealth or internal policy risk, Persia Money may refuse to process the Order, pause it, request additional documents, restrict the User account or refuse to continue the relationship with the User.

In some cases, Persia Money may be unable to provide full details of the reason for rejecting, pausing or suspending an Order where doing so may affect security, confidentiality of checks, legal obligations, sanctions controls, payment partner requirements or internal risk policies.

15. Acceptable Use Policy

Use of Persia Money’s Services is subject to Persia Money’s Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms and Conditions.

The User undertakes to use the Services only for personal, lawful, documented and permitted purposes. Prohibited or restricted activities, transactions, industries, goods, persons and uses are set out in the Acceptable Use Policy.

Persia Money may, based on the Acceptable Use Policy, risk assessment, payment restrictions, legal requirements, payment partner requirements or any other reasonable ground, reject, pause, suspend or restrict any Order, transaction, User, payment destination, goods, services, merchant, platform or activity.

16. Fees

Persia Money’s fees are charged for reviewing, processing, preparing, performing or attempting to perform an Order, using payment and settlement channels, managing the settlement process, value conversion, carrying out required checks and providing related Services.

Persia Money’s fee may be shown separately or included in the final amount, exchange rate or quoted price. By submitting an Order and paying the quoted amount, the User accepts the fees and costs associated with that Order.

Where processing of an Order has started, or a payment or Service has been performed by Persia Money, Persia Money’s fee is non-refundable, even if a merchant, payee, seller, hotel, airline, platform, Recipient or other third party returns all or part of the amount.

Any refund of all or part of Persia Money’s fee will be made only in exceptional cases and at Persia Money’s discretion.

17. No Guarantee of Outcome

Persia Money is responsible only for making, or attempting to make, the payment, settlement or value conversion in accordance with the User’s submitted Order. Persia Money gives no guarantee as to the final outcome of any goods, services, booking, purchase, delivery, service quality, timing, merchant decision or third-party performance.

Persia Money does not guarantee that any payment will be accepted or processed by any bank, payment network, payee, merchant, local platform, hotel, airline, seller or other third party.

Persia Money shall not be responsible for rejected payments, cancelled bookings, non-delivery of goods or services, poor service quality, price changes, changes to merchant rules, flight changes, hotel cancellations, website errors, inaccessible websites, access restrictions, payment network disruption, payee decisions, bank decisions, platform decisions or the acts or omissions of third parties.

18. Cancellation and Refunds

Once Persia Money has started processing an Order, carrying out value conversion, making a payment or otherwise providing the Service, the Order may not be cancelled by the User unless Persia Money is able, in practice and without additional cost or risk, to stop the process.

If the User requests cancellation before processing has started, Persia Money may review the status of the Order and, where possible, cancel it. In such cases, Persia Money may deduct any costs incurred, processing fees, non-refundable costs and other related costs from any amount to be returned.

If, after a payment has been made, a merchant, seller, hotel, airline, platform, payee or other third party returns an amount to Persia Money, Persia Money will, after actual receipt of the funds, calculate the refundable amount using the rate and conditions applicable on the date of receipt and pay or settle it to the User.

The User accepts that responsibility for following up any refund, cancellation, dispute, complaint, non-delivery of goods or services, poor service quality, booking change or cancellation, payment refusal, delay, account closure or any dispute with a merchant, seller, hotel, airline, platform or third party rests with the User.

19. Receipts and Evidence of Payment

After a payment, settlement or Service has been completed, Persia Money may, where applicable, provide the User with a receipt, payment image, confirmation, reference number, confirmation email, tracking code, booking reference, confirmation number or other available supporting evidence.

Where a bank, payee, platform or merchant does not issue an official receipt, a screenshot, payment confirmation, reference number or other information available to Persia Money may be sufficient evidence that Persia Money has made the payment.

Persia Money is not required to provide confidential information, full account details, card details, payment instrument details, security information, internal settlement information or information belonging to Persia Money or its partners.

20. User Information and Confidentiality

Persia Money collects and processes User information for registration, identity verification, Order review, payment processing, value conversion, risk management, Source of Funds and Source of Wealth checks, sanctions and security checks, support, complaints handling, compliance with internal requirements and provision of the Services.

User information is treated as confidential by Persia Money, and Persia Money will seek to protect User information against unauthorised access, disclosure, misuse or improper use.

However, the User accepts that, in order to provide certain Services, it may be necessary to share part of the Order information, identity information, contact information, address information, payment information, documents, Source of Funds information, Source of Wealth information, Recipient information, Beneficiary information, payment destination information or other necessary information with identity verification providers, sanctions screening providers, payment partners, settlement-related persons, support providers or other persons involved in processing the Order.

Persia Money may retain, review or disclose information relating to the User or an Order where necessary to comply with law, prevent fraud, manage risk, conduct sanctions checks, handle complaints, defend its rights, enforce these Terms and Conditions or respond to requests from competent authorities.

21. Account Security, Suspension and Restrictions

The User is responsible for keeping their account, password, login codes, contact details, devices and access secure. The User must not share their account with another person or allow another person to use their account to place Orders, make payments or use the Services.

If the User becomes aware of unauthorised access, misuse, loss of login details, unauthorised changes or any security issue, the User must immediately notify Persia Money through official channels.

Persia Money may restrict, suspend, block or close the User account or access to the Services where there is a breach of these Terms and Conditions, breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, incorrect information, failure to complete identity verification, failure to provide Source of Funds or Source of Wealth documents, suspicious Orders, high risk, payment restrictions, unauthorised use, misuse of the Services, payment disputes, sanctions alerts, security concerns, internal requirements or any other reasonable ground.

22. Limitation of Liability

Persia Money’s liability in respect of any Order shall be limited solely to the amount paid by the User to Persia Money for that specific Order which has not yet been paid, settled, converted, used or otherwise remains actually recoverable.

Persia Money shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, punitive or special loss, loss of opportunity, loss of profit, price increase, penalty, account closure, non-delivery of goods, poor quality of third-party services, booking changes or cancellations, merchant decisions, bank decisions, payment network decisions, payee decisions or any loss arising from the acts or omissions of third parties.

Persia Money shall not be responsible for any delay or failure to provide a Service caused by matters outside its reasonable control, including internet disruption, banking or payment system disruption, local bank transfer limitations, local card-transfer limitations, local online payment network restrictions, payee restrictions, sanctions, domestic or foreign laws or regulations, bank or merchant decisions, platform technical faults, price changes, public holidays, force majeure, natural disasters, war, civil unrest, power outages, infrastructure disruption or any other matter outside Persia Money’s reasonable control.

23. Official Communications and Complaints

Persia Money’s official communication channels for support, Order follow-up, requests and complaints are:

The User must submit and follow up requests, Orders, enquiries and complaints only through the official channels announced by Persia Money. Persia Money shall not be responsible for messages, payments, Orders or arrangements made outside official channels or through unofficial persons, numbers, accounts or pages.

Complaints will be handled in accordance with Persia Money’s Complaints Handling Policy. Persia Money aims to respond to complaints within 15 business days from receipt of a complete complaint. In complex cases, this period may be extended to 35 calendar days.

Submitting a complaint, objection or request for review does not, by itself, suspend, change or postpone the terms of an Order, the User’s payment obligations, the refund policy, account restrictions or Persia Money’s risk-based decisions, unless Persia Money decides otherwise on a case-by-case basis.

24. Applicable Rules, Restrictions and Service Availability

The User accepts that certain payments or Services may be affected by laws, regulations, policies, restrictions, sanctions, payment network rules, merchant policies, bank policies, country or jurisdictional restrictions, platform restrictions or third-party requirements.

Persia Money does not guarantee that every payment, Order or Service will be available in all countries, all jurisdictions, for all Users, for all purposes or with all merchants or payees.

Persia Money may at any time change, restrict, suspend, update or discontinue all or part of its Services, or restrict the availability of certain Services for certain Users, countries, jurisdictions, merchants, currencies or payment destinations.

25. Intellectual Property

All rights in Persia Money’s name, logo, design, text, website content, mobile application, software, user interface, documents, trade marks, services, databases, processes and other intellectual property belong to Persia Money or its authorised rights holders.

The User must not copy, misuse, republish, sell, modify, reverse-engineer or commercially exploit Persia Money’s name, logo, content, design, software, information or intellectual property without Persia Money’s prior written permission.

26. Final Provisions

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Any failure or delay by Persia Money in exercising any right or remedy shall not constitute a waiver of that right or remedy.

Headings are included for ease of reference only and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions, together with the Acceptable Use Policy, Complaints Handling Policy, Privacy Policy and any other policies or notices published by Persia Money, form the main framework governing the User’s access to and use of the Services.
